Building a Generation Bold in Faith

At New Providence Missionary Baptist Church, our youth ministry exists to equip and empower teenagers to be the church of today — not just the future. Through intentional discipleship, spiritual growth, and meaningful service, we guide students to grow in their faith, become devoted followers of Jesus Christ, and boldly share His love in their schools, families, friend groups, and communities.

We are committed to building strong, Christ-centered relationships and holding each student accountable in their walk with the Lord. Our mission is rooted in five core values that form the foundation of our ministry — the B.E.A.R.S. principles:

B.E.A.R.S. Values

🐾 Believe in Christ

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

We place our faith fully in Jesus Christ as the only way to salvation and teach students to build their lives on this truth.

🐾 Encourage One Another

“Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (KJV)
We foster a community where students lift each other up, offering support, accountability, and genuine friendship.

🐾 Act in Love

“Let all your things be done with charity.”

Every action, word, and decision is rooted in love — the kind of selfless love that reflects the heart of Christ.

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

We challenge our youth to live missionally — sharing the Gospel with boldness and compassion, both locally and globally.

“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”

Students are encouraged to use their God-given gifts to serve others faithfully — in the church, at home, and beyond.

What We Believe

We stand firm on one Lord, one faith, one baptism (Ephesians 4:5), and we believe the Bible is the true and infallible Word of God. Everything we teach and model is grounded in Scripture and guided by the Holy Spirit.

Through the B.E.A.R.S. ministry, we’re raising up a generation of students who are passionate about their faith, committed to God’s Word, and ready to make a lasting impact in the world for Jesus Christ.
